Dylan Charles Ramberan arrived in Luanda,Angola with anticipations and excitement. He was picked up by the protocol office and was escorted to the VIP lounge to await his baggage and security clearance, along with the other two youth ambassadors. On Day 1, ( next day), he began his experience by taking a bus with CIMPAD and ICCOUNCIL members to meet the Minister of Foreign Affairs, where discussions focused on Angola's development issues like gender equality, education, and business growth. Despite initial preconceived notions about Africa, Dylan was pleasantly surprised by the university campus and the overall welcoming nature of the Angolan people, who made him feel 'more welcome and comfortable' during what was his first major overseas trip. This positive initial impression, coupled with the commitment he observed from everyone involved in the project to resolve Angola's challenges, fostered a strong sense of anticipation for the internship and the positive impact he hoped to see from the project's initiatives in the future.
